Warning Signs of Stroke
Use the FAST method to determine if facial changes, arm pain or speech irregularities indicate someone may be having a stroke.

Face: facial droop, sudden numbness/tingling, blurred vision. Ask the person to smile and check for a crooked smile.

Arm: sudden weakness, numbness, tingling of the arm. Ask the person to hold both arms out, close their eyes, and check for drifting of one arm.

Speech: sudden slurred or garbled speech. Ask the person to repeat a sentence and listen for changes in speech or inability to follow this command.

Time: Call 911 immediately. Stroke is a medical emergency!
