The Angie Deeb Cancer Unit is the only inpatient cancer unit in the Big Bend. Located on the 7th floor of Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, it offers 26 all-private rooms with full baths, and a “Gathering Place” for families.
In caring for cancer patients, physicians at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital utilize three primary forms of treatment—surgery, chemotherapy and radiation oncology. Each patient’s recovery plan is designed according to his or her specific diagnosis. In some cases, effective treatment may involve a single type of procedure, but often a combination of several techniques is employed.
