The Parkinson's Center at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare provides diagnostic, consultative and high-quality patient care services, as well as educational classes, caregiver training, counseling and ongoing
support groups.
One of the center's primary goals is to provide education regarding
Parkinson's disease for clients, family members, caregivers and the community.
Our staff includes three board-certified neurologists, Drs. Gery Florek, Charles Maitland and Winston Ortiz; a full-time patient care coordinator; a part-time office specialist; and pharmacist and social worker services on an as-needed basis.
The center also participates in ongoing data collection and research with the
National Parkinson Foundation in Miami and other satellite centers around the state of Florida.
