Surgery Scheduling Changes
In an effort to continue to practice responsible healthcare in our community to “flatten the curve,” our hospital has thoughtfully considered the impact of doing elective surgeries. Based on current recommendations for elective surgical procedures, our practices will be rescheduling any non-emergent cases by calling patients directly.
Urgent Care Screening
For the safety of patients, visitors and colleagues, Tallahassee Memorial Urgent Care Center is now screening all patients and visitors as they enter the building. As a TMH Physician Partners practice, their visitation policy of one visitor per person applies.
Urgent Care is still open for patients experiencing the following:
- Accidents or falls
- Sprains and strains
- Skin rash or infection
- Minor stitches
- Fever or flu
- Minor fractures
- Muscle or stomach aches and pains

TMH Confirms First COVID-19 Patient
At Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, we have identified our organization’s first confirmed patient with COVID-19. This individual, who is not a resident of Leon County, was transferred from an out-of-state hospital with known cases and is now deceased. Our colleagues followed proper processes and procedures to avoid exposing themselves, our patients and our community to the virus. Although this is the first confirmed case in Tallahassee, it will likely not be the last.

TMH Physician Partners Updated Visitation Policy
Effective March 18, the visitation policy has been revised for all TMH Physician Partners practices, asking patients to refrain from bringing any guests to upcoming appointments. If that is not possible, please limit yourself to one guest.
If you have an upcoming appointment at a TMH Physician Partners practice and have a fever, cough or shortness of breath, and/or have been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 patient, please call the practice prior to your arrival.
For any specific questions regarding your appointment or the visitor policy, please call the practice directly.
