21st Annual Tallahassee Tennis Challenger

TennisChallengerUPDATE: It is with great sadness that we must announce the cancellation of the Tallahassee Tennis Challenger. The ATP/ITF and USTA have suspended the entire tour for the next six weeks starting immediately due to COVID-19. Unfortunately, our tournament falls within this time frame.

We appreciate everyone who chose to sponsor the tournament, which benefits the Vogter Neuro Intensive Care Unit at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH). Your sponsorship directly benefits patients in the Neuro ICU, and we are so thankful for your support. We are dedicated to working with you and want you to know that you have three options concerning your sponsorship:

1.  You may request a refund of your paid sponsorship.
2.  You may leave your money in the D. Mark Vogter, MD Endowment at the TMH Foundation to reserve your same sponsorship for next year.
3.  You may choose to donate all or part of your sponsorship money as a 100% tax deductible donation to the Vogter Endowment.

Please contact Tournament Director Karen Vogter with your decision or if you have any questions. Refunds will be made in the same way your payment was made.

We are, of course, very sad that we will not have the 21st Tallahassee Tennis Challenger in 2020. We thank you so much for your continued support and look forward to seeing you at the tournament again in April 2021.

Most sincerely,

Karen Lyn Vogter

Tournament Director

Tallahassee Tennis Challenger

The 21st Tallahassee Tennis Challenger will take place April 20 through April 26 at the City of Tallahassee’s beautiful Forestmeadows Tennis Complex. This site has been host to Satellites, Futures, and the last 20 Challenger events. The first USTA Pro Circuit Challenger in Tallahassee took place in 2000 and has grown steadily every year.

Proceeds from the tournament continue will benefit the Vogter Neuro-Intensive Care Unit at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. This unit cares for patients of all ages who suffer neurological trauma (such as head injuries, strokes), require surgical intervention for life-threatening illnesses (brain tumors, aneurysms), and many other types of patients too numerous to name. In 2019, the net proceeds were again donated to the D. Mark Vogter Memorial Endowment, making the total contribution to the Endowment over $850,000 for the last 20 years.
