TMH participating in study on aneurysm treatment

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is among 28 health centers nationwide participating in a study that could one day offer more options in the treatment of cerebral aneurysms.

In 2014, the Food and Drug Administration approved the launch of the BARREL study as a means to test the safety and efficiency of the barrel vascular reconstruction device. It's a light, nimble object physicians believe can help reconstruct affected vessels in the most natural way possible and allow tiny blood vessels ( 2 to 4 millimeters) in the brain to be preserved.
