At the age of 6, Dr. Andrea Friall lost her mother. Raised by a single father, she relied on a neighbor who was a nurse to teach her about her body during puberty. This relationship shaped her vision for the future and ultimately Dr. Friall's career interest in obstetrics and gynecology. For as long as she can remember, Dr. Friall has always loved math, science, physics and chemistry.
“I wanted to be an OB-GYN medical doctor since seventh grade. I was absolute in my decision to pursue medicine,” said the Tulane University alumna, who served as chief resident during her residency. ”I never thought about being a leader, I just did what needed to be done.”
