Play Care Guidelines

These guidelines are set for the safety and well being of your child and the other children using Play Care.

Sign In/Sign Out

We do require that you sign your child IN upon arrival and sign your child OUT upon your departure. Once you sign your child into Play Care, you are required to remain on the premises of Premier. In the event of an emergency, parents will be notified immediately.

The parent/guardian who signs the child in must be the one who signs the child out. Please let us know if someone other than this is picking up your child – you may need to come down from your work-out if we are not aware of alternate plans (ID may be required).

When you sign your child into Play Care, it is VERY IMPORTANT to print legibly, including your child's name and age, parent's first and last name as it appears on your Premier membership and the specific location where we can find you in case of emergency.

Changing Diapers

Changing diapers is the responsibility of the parent. If necessary, you will be asked to come and change your child.

Food, Snacks and Drinks

Food and snacks are not permitted in our Play Care. If you need to feed your child, please do so before or after your workout. Babies may have a bottle.

Drinks are allowed in a “sippy” cup or covered drink container. Please put the child’s name on the cup.

What Your Child Should Wear

Please dress your child appropriately to run, jump, tumble, climb, paint, and play. Shoes are required.

Sick Policy

If your child is ill, please keep him/her home.

If the child is staying home from school because they don’t feel good, then we ask that you do not bring them to Play Care either.

In the event that a child becomes sick while in Play Care we will notify the parent and depending on the severity of the illness a doctor's note may be required in order for the child to return to Play Care.

Children suffering from a common cold will be assessed on an individual basis. The younger your child, the more difficult it is to keep the spread of germs down. For example: hand to face contact, mouthing of toys, uncontrolled nasal discharge, uncovered sneezing and coughing, also when caring for an ill child the ability to provide high quality care to all of the other children is affected.

Children with the following symptoms will not be allowed into Play Care:

  • Fever within the last 24 hours (this includes the night before/morning of, no fever for 24 hours without taking fever reducing medication. If you had to give your child medicine the night before then that still means they are unable to come to Play Care the following day)
  • Heavy nasal discharge (with discoloration)
  • Constant or sever cough
  • Rash or skin infection
  • Eye infection or discharge
  • Vomiting within the last 24 hours
  • Diarrhea or upset stomach
  • Excessive crying/crankiness

Please help us by teaching your children to cover coughs and sneezes with tissues or by coughing into the inside of the elbow. Be sure to set a good example by doing this yourself.

Discipline

Our discipline policy begins with our promise of genuine respect for children’s needs and feelings. We explain our rules and clearly repeat them on an on-going basis. We provide activities and equipment that keep children safe and busy. As a result, we expect there to be few discipline problems.

A child who has trouble getting along or who misuses equipment will be reminded of the rules and/or re-directed to another activity. If necessary, a child that is not behaving as they should be will be asked to sit in quiet-time. Spanking, or any other form of physical or verbal punishment, is prohibited. If any child becomes too  much to handle we will get the parent and that child will be asked to leave.

Management reserves the right to refuse service to children who are repeatedly hurtful to others or exhibit dangerous or destructive behavior.
