Breast Cancer

Many factors can influence your breast cancer risk and many who develop breast cancer do not have any known risk factors or a history of the disease in their family. While the types and risk factors vary from person to person, more is known about breast cancer than ever before.

The Big Bend region's only accredited breast program by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center offers a multidisciplinary approach to breast cancer care through a team of specialized oncologists, surgeons, nurses, patient navigators, dietitians and other support staff.

NAPBCDiagnostic Services

With early detection, breast cancer can be caught sooner. This means a better chance of remission and survival. Learn more about our diagnostic services.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer, patients receive a customized treatment plan to help them beat the disease. Frequently this involves surgery to remove the cancer and a form of breast reconstruction performed by experienced general and plastic surgeons.
