Tallahassee Memorial HeatlhCare is home to the region’s most advanced critical care. The third through fifth floors of the M.T. Mustian Center house TMH’s three ICUs – the Cardiopulmonary ICU, the Vogter Neuro ICU and the Cardiovascular Medical Surgical ICU. Our pediatric ICU is the only hospital unit within 100 miles specifically equipped to care for critically ill children and we offer the only neonatal intensive care unit in the region that cares for over 600 babies each year.

At TMH, we are committed to making patients’ and families’ medical experiences as comfortable and seamless as possible. TMH sought insight from patient and family advisors and colleagues to help design and arrange the new adult ICUs. They are equipped to help families during these times. Room designs allow families to be together overnight with the support of our ICU team nearby.
Additional patient- and family-centered innovations in the adult ICUs include shelves built at the patient’s eye level to allow them to see personal belongings and gifts from visitors, large windows that provide natural sunlight allowing patients to maintain their circadian rhythms, and sleeper sofas for visitors.
Each unit also features an internal corridor that takes activity away from the patient rooms and creates a calmer environment for patients and their family members.
The Cardiovascular Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CVMSICU) is located on the third floor of the M.T. Mustian Center.
