Chest Pain Center with PCI & Resuscitation
Tallahassee Memorial is recognized by the American College of Cardiology (ACC) as an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI & Resuscitation. The PCI designation means that we use a specialized treatment called percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) as the primary treatment for acute heart attacks. The resuscitation designation refers to our robust hypothermia program for post-cardiac arrest patients. Together, these measures ensure patients experiencing acute heart attacks and cardiac arrest receive rapid treatment in our state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab to minimize damage to the heart and brain.
