Epilepsy Resource Center

Inspired by the bonds of friendship, the Tallahassee Memorial Epilepsy Resource Center was developed by Rachel Rumana after her best friend, Molly McCann, had a seizure in front of her.

As Rachel watched Molly deal with her epilepsy diagnosis, she made it her mission to help others by creating a non profit, called Strides for Seizures, aimed at helping those with this condition.

Working together, Strides for Seizures, the Epilepsy Association of the Big Bend and Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare created the region’s first Epilepsy Resource Center. With a shared vision to help members of the community overcome the challenges created by epilepsy, the Tallahassee Memorial Epilepsy Resource Center at the Epilepsy Association of the Big Bend provides epilepsy patients, and their families and caregivers, with a wealth of knowledge in a comfortable, welcoming space.
