Our Technology

We use of the latest technology available in rehabilitative medicine to help our patients achieve the best possible results:

Bioness (Ness L300™)

We are among the first in the country to offer the NESS L300™ neuro-rehablitation system.

Central nervous system injuries often result in foot drop. This leads to instability and difficulty walking. The NESS L300™ helps correct this problem by using wireless communication to “talk” to its components, eliminating cumbersome wires and allowing the clinician the ability to fine-tune settings while the patient is actually walking. This user-friendly system is appropriate for a broad range of conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy and incomplete spinal cord injury.

Bioness (NESS H200™)

Our center is the first in the Panhandle to utilize the NESS H200™ to assist patients with neurological injuries and disorders regain hand and arm function.

The NESS H200™ is a portable device that rests comfortably around a patient's hand and forearm, and utilizes neuromuscular electrical stimulation to re-integrate the brain and muscular function of the arm and hand. This repetition of movement teaches the healthy parts of the brain to relearn lost function. This improves hand function and voluntary movement, increasing the range of motion and local blood circulation, and reduces muscle spasticity and deterioration.

Neuromusclar Electrical Stimulation (NMES)

NMES is used by a certified Speech-Language Pathologist to treat Dysphagia, a swallowing disorder, to retrain the throat muscles used in swallowing. This pain-free intervention involves electrodes being placed superficially on the patient's neck, which provide a mild electrical current to stimulate the muscles. Not only is it safe, it is remarkably successful in real-world use and produces better and faster results than any traditional therapy. NMES is the only dysphagia therapy backed by compelling clinical data and cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Balance Master & Dynamic Platform Posturography

The Balance Master® provides objective assessment and retraining of the sensory and voluntary motor control of balance via visual biofeedback. This leading edge technology is an effective intervention for mobility training and allows the physical therapist to design the most effective treatment program possible to help patients retrain their balance function.
