Meet Our Heart Doctors

At Tallahassee Memorial, you and your heart have access to one of the most advanced heart and vascular programs in the Southeast.

Our physicians perform more complex procedures and clinical research than any other program in our region. No matter what you need, you'll have access to the advanced, high-quality care you deserve close to home.

Cardiologists

You may see a cardiologist if you’re having symptoms that could be caused by heart disease. Your cardiologist will diagnose, treat and help prevent problems with your heart or blood vessels.

Interventional Cardiologists

You may see an interventional cardiologist if you have a structural heart condition, like heart valve disease, cardiomyopathy or congenital heart disease. Interventional cardiologists treat heart conditions using minimally invasive, catheter-based procedures, like angioplasty and stenting.

Electrophysiologists

You may see an electrophysiologist if you have or show signs of an electrical problem with your heart. These problems can cause arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats, that can be too fast (tachycardia), too slow (bradycardia) or erratic (like with atrial fibrillation, or AFib).

Cardio-Oncology

Cardio-oncologists provide care at the intersection of cancer and heart disease. You may see a member of our cardio-oncology team if you’re currently undergoing cancer treatment, have previously undergone cancer treatment or are about to undergo cancer treatment that could impact your heart.

Cardiothoracic Surgeons

You may see a cardiothoracic surgeon if you have a condition that may benefit from heart, lung, chest or esophageal surgery. Your cardiothoracic surgeon will work closely with your other heart specialists to find the right treatment for you.

Heart Failure Specialists

You may see a heart failure specialist if you’re diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Heart failure specialists are cardiologists who go through additional training in managing heart failure.

Vascular Surgeons

You may see a vascular surgeon if you are diagnosed with a vascular condition – a condition impacting your arteries or veins – or if you exhibit common symptoms of vascular disease. Vascular surgeons can provide noninvasive, minimally invasive and surgical treatment options to meet your unique needs.
