Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) continues building on our progress as we address an IT security event that occurred on Thursday, Feb. 2. Our patients’ well-being remains our top priority, and we are pleased to share positive news with our community.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of our dedicated IT and forensic teams, our TMH Physician Partners practices and Urgent Care Centers are back online. In addition, we are in the process of transitioning from paper documentation back to electronic medical records within the Main Hospital. While these events represent a major step toward restoration, it is important to keep in mind that it will take some time to return to standard operations.

We do expect to encounter hurdles, and we apologize for any delays, as we enact our systems restoration plan. Outpatients with questions about their care should call their provider’s office. Inpatients should coordinate directly with their care teams and our Patient Experience Department.

We remain on diversion for some emergency medical services (EMS) patients as we bring systems online and test them. Our teams remain laser focused on restoring impacted hospital systems as quickly and securely as possible. We have backup processes in place to support our IT systems and have designed our restoration plan with a focus on balancing security and efficiency.

It is our commitment that we will continue to prioritize safe, high-quality care for our patients, and we appreciate the community’s ongoing support and flexibility. We also continue to be incredibly grateful to our colleagues for their unwavering dedication to caring for our patients.

We remain committed to keeping the community informed of our progress and will continue to share updates at TMH.ORG and on our social media channels.
