TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Monday, Sept. 15, 2025) – TMH Physician Partners – Cardiothoracic Surgery is excited to welcome board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon, Cemil Purut, MD.

Dr. Purut brings advanced training and extensive expertise in cardiothoracic surgery to our team. He earned his medical degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where he also completed his residency and fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery.

Dr. Purut shares that he chose TMH because of the outstanding team of physicians already here and the “strong institutional support for the complex procedures that make up cardiovascular surgery.”

Outside the hospital, he enjoys mountain biking, traveling and spending time at his family’s mountain home in North Carolina.
