Internal Medicine Provider Now Accepting New Patients
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Friday, Aug. 8, 2025) – TMH Physician Partners, Services by Southern Medical Group - Primary Care is proud to welcome James Brown, MD. With strong ties to the Tallahassee area and a thoughtful, patient-centered approach, he is already making an impact.
A graduate of the Florida State University College of Medicine, Dr. Brown completed his internal medicine residency at TMH, where he served as Chief Resident. He is now seeing adult patients for preventive care, chronic disease management and acute health needs.
Dr. Brown’s care philosophy is simple: listen first. Inspired by the belief that “the patient tells you the diagnosis,” he prioritizes clear communication, empathy and shared decision-making at every visit.
“Taking time to hear what’s really going on—beyond symptoms—is key to building trust and delivering the best care,” Dr. Brown shared.
Born and raised in Florida, he appreciates the natural beauty of the region and spends his free time with his wife and family exploring the outdoors, gardening and relaxing near the water.
