Panama City Beach Expands Access To High-Quality Primary Care

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025) – TMH Physician Partners – Primary Care in Panama City Beach is pleased to welcome Vincent Van Berkum, MD.

Dr. Van Berkum earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida (USF) Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, which was recently ranked the number one medical school in Florida by U.S. News & World Report. He completed his residency training at the USF Health Morton Plant Mease Family Medicine Residency in Clearwater, where he developed a strong passion for comprehensive family medicine.

As a primary care physician, Dr. Van Berkum treats a variety of conditions, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. He places a special emphasis on preventive care, lifestyle guidance and helping patients achieve long-term health and wellness.

A Panama City Beach native, Dr. Van Berkum chose TMH to return to his hometown and provide excellent care to the community he knows best. He looks forward to supporting the expansion of much-needed healthcare services along the Gulf Coast.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Van Berkum enjoys spending time with his family, performing music, exploring new restaurants and visiting Florida’s natural landmarks, especially the beach.
