GENERAL SURGEON RETIRES AFTER 31 YEARS OF SERVICE
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Nov. 28, 2025) – After 31 years of extraordinary service, Tim Ruark, MD will be retiring from TMH Physician Partners – General Surgery at the end of this month on December 31.
Dr. Ruark joined Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) in 1994 after completing his medical education at the Medical College of Georgia in 1989, followed by his internship and residency at University Medical Center (University of Tennessee Health Science Center). Board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Ruark has spent more than three decades delivering exceptional, compassionate surgical care to patients throughout the Big Bend region.
Throughout his career, Dr. Ruark has been admired for his clinical expertise and steady commitment to patient well-being. His colleagues know him as a collaborative and trusted surgeon whose calm professionalism and dedication have made a lasting impression on the TMH community. His work has touched the lives of countless patients and families who have benefited from the high-quality care he consistently provided.
As Dr. Ruark enters this new chapter, he looks forward to enjoying more time with his family. While he will be greatly missed by his patients, colleagues and team members, his legacy will continue through the many individuals and professional peers he has supported, inspired and cared for during his remarkable tenure.
