The Facility as Recognized In The Top 20% of Skilled-Nursing Facilities Nationwide

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Dec. 5, 2025) – The Tallahassee Memorial Rehabilitation Center (TMRC) has been recognized as a High Performing facility for short-term rehabilitation in U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 Best Nursing Homes, placing it among the top 20% of skilled-nursing facilities nationwide. This is the highest possible rating awarded by U.S. News & World Report and reflects exceptional performance across a comprehensive set of quality measures.

This year’s ratings include updated evaluations of nearly 15,000 skilled-nursing facilities across the country. Facilities earning a High-Performing rating are recognized for demonstrating superior outcomes in areas such as quality of patient care, staffing, medical oversight and use of best practices.

“Families trust us with their loved ones during some of life’s most vulnerable moments and our caregivers pour their skill and heart into ensuring our patients receive the safest, highest-quality care,” said Kara Payne, administrator of the Tallahassee Memorial Rehabilitation Center. “To be recognized by U.S. News & World Report affirms the excellence our team strives for and delivers consistently.”

About the U.S. News & World Report Best Nursing Homes Ratings

The U.S. News & World Report methodology is based on an in-depth analysis of publicly available data, including quality measures that extend beyond the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) star ratings. The U.S. News system evaluates short-term rehabilitation and long-term care separately, recognizing that the needs of patients recovering from short-term illness or injury differ significantly from those requiring ongoing support.
