Newly designated accreditation demonstrates TMH’s ongoing commitment to safe, reliable and patient-centered care.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Monday, Oct. 13, 2025) – Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is proud to announce that the Tallahassee Memorial Rehabilitation Center (TMRC) has earned national recognition for excellence with a three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
To achieve accreditation, TMRC demonstrated excellence in leadership, safety, clinical care and continuous improvement during a comprehensive two-day on-site survey. Accredited rehabilitation programs emphasize individualized treatment, track patient outcomes and use feedback to strengthen services.
For patients, this means reliable care delivered by a trusted team following proven best practices. It results in better outcomes, with therapies designed to restore strength, independence and quality of life—along with peace of mind knowing nationally recognized services are available close to home.
“At its heart, rehabilitation is about helping people get back to living the lives they love,” said Kara Payne, Administrator at TMRC. “CARF accreditation highlights the extraordinary work of our team and affirms our mission to restore independence and improve quality of life for every patient we serve.”
With CARF accreditation, TMRC joins a select group of rehabilitation centers and programs nationwide recognized for their excellence in providing high-quality rehabilitation services.
TMRC offers 24/7 care for patients recovering from stroke, amputations, brain and spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, complex wounds, cardiopulmonary issues and other debilitating conditions. The center includes 51 patient rooms, three therapy gyms and a cafeteria.
