TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Monday, May 11, 2026) – TMH Day, now in its third year, returns Thursday, June 11, inviting Tallahassee residents, businesses and organizations to come together in support of local healthcare and make a meaningful impact on patients.

Hosted by the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) Foundation , TMH Day aims to raise $100,000 to support critical services and patient care at TMH. The annual day of giving comes at an exciting time for healthcare in Tallahassee, as new opportunities emerge to strengthen and expand care for the community.

Although TMH Day culminates on June 11, the campaign is under way. Grateful patients, TMH colleagues and community supporters can visit TMHDAY.ORG to get involved, whether by making a heartfelt donation, starting a fundraising team or rallying friends and family to give.

Community members are also invited to join the TMH Day Celebration & Celebrity Bartending event at 5 pm, Thursday, June 11, at the Goodwood Museum & Gardens Carriage House. The event will feature music, food, a celebrity bartending competition and prizes for the top TMH Day fundraising teams.

“TMH Day has generated over $250,000 in direct support for patient care in our community,” said Nigel Allen, TMH Foundation President and Chief Advancement Officer. “These gifts make a real difference by helping vulnerable patients access care, supporting scholarships and professional development for our clinical teams and ensuring TMH can provide advanced treatments close to home.”

This year’s TMH Day coincides with a transformational milestone: TMH’s developing partnership with Florida State University to establish a premier academic medical center in Tallahassee. As the partnership evolves, there will always be opportunities for community members to play a key role in advancing healthcare through philanthropy, Allen said.

“Healthcare in our community is growing and changing in exciting ways,” he said. “What will never change is the critical role our donors play. Philanthropy continues to fuel innovation, expand access and ensure we can meet the most urgent needs of our patients.”

The TMH Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit foundation governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees. All gifts and assets are dedicated to supporting patients and advancing the mission of TMH, while ensuring donor intent is honored and contributions are used where they are needed most.

In 2025, over 2,000 donors — including nearly 700 TMH colleagues, contributed more than $4.3 million through the TMH Foundation. With an endowment of $33 million, the Foundation continues to invest in innovation, compassion and world-class care.

“Donors to the TMH Foundation don’t simply give money,” Allen said. “They partner with TMH to solve complex, life-threatening problems. Their generosity touches lives every day, and it will continue to play a vital role in the future of healthcare in our community.

As a nonprofit healthcare organization, TMH is committed to treating every patient, regardless of their ability to pay, while providing essential services that may not otherwise be available locally. TMH Day gives donors the opportunity to support all service areas, including but not limited to:

  • Emergency & Trauma
  • Cancer Center
  • Tallahassee Memorial Rehabilitation Center
  • Scholarships for Clinical Colleagues
  • Women’s & Children’s Services
  • Heart & Vascular Services

TMH Foundation welcomes support for any area of the hospital or a general contribution at TMHDAY.ORG. All donations are 100% tax deductible and go directly to improving patient outcomes and supporting frontline healthcare teams.

The impact of TMH Foundation support is already felt across the community—perhaps most powerfully through its investment in ECMO, an advanced life-support system that helps the heart and lungs heal.

Thanks to more than $350,000 in donor support, TMH has expanded its ECMO program and is saving lives like that of Troy Fisher, a young husband and father from Crawfordville.

After going into diabetic ketoacidosis and cardiac arrest, Fisher was placed on ECMO and survived to witness the birth of his daughter.

“I thought it was just nurses and doctors doing their job, but no, it’s love,” Troy said. “They loved seeing me wake up. They loved seeing me get better. I’m grateful for a chance to tell people what I went through, what God did through the hospital and through the team to bring me back.”

“Stories like Troy’s are why TMH Day matters,” Allen said. “Our donors help make lifesaving care possible. That’s the impact of giving.”
