TMH Earns Renewed Blue Distinction® Designation for Bariatric Surgery

Blue Distinction® designation reflects TMH's ongoing commitment to quality, safety and exceptional patient outcomes.

Tallahassee, Fla. – Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) has once again earned the Blue Distinction® Centers for Bariatric Surgery designation from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA), reaffirming its commitment to providing high-quality, safe bariatric surgical care.

The Blue Distinction Specialty Care program recognizes healthcare facilities that demonstrate expertise in delivering better patient outcomes through evidence-based, patient-centered care. The Blue Distinction Centers for Bariatric Surgery designation is awarded to programs that meet rigorous national quality and patient safety standards.

To earn and maintain the designation, healthcare facilities must demonstrate success in meeting nationally established quality measures and bariatric-specific patient safety standards while maintaining accreditation for their bariatric surgery program.
