Dr. Shelby Blank and Dr. Shlermine Everidge will begin practicing at the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center on Dec. 18.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025) – In a move aimed at strengthening access to women’s cancer care, the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center is expanding its services to include a dedicated breast surgery practice: TMH Physician Partners – Breast Specialists.
Surgeons Shelby Blank, MD, and Shlermine Everidge, MD, and Mallory Tucker, PA, of TMH Physician Partners – General Surgery, will relocate to the Cancer Center on Dec. 18, 2025, to form the new practice. With multiple oncology specialists already based at the facility, their relocation creates a more connected environment for patients receiving breast cancer care.
Dr. Blank and Dr. Everidge bring extensive expertise in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of breast cancer and benign breast disease. Both have played key roles in advancing breast cancer care in the region and are recognized for their clinical skill, patient-centered approach, and commitment to supporting women throughout their breast health journey.
Dr. Blank, a board-certified general surgeon with specialized experience in breast surgery, helped establish the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center’s multidisciplinary breast cancer clinic and the Walker Breast Program—two services designed to expedite breast cancer care by bringing coordinated services together in one location.
Dr. Everidge is the region’s first and only fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist. A graduate of the Florida State University (FSU) College of Medicine and FSU’s General Surgery Residency Program at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, she completed her breast surgical oncology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, in 2023.
By moving their practice to the Cancer Center, Dr. Everidge and Dr. Blank will work in close proximity to TMH Physician Partners – Gynecologic Oncology, led by Amanda Stephens, DO, and Christine Fitzsimmons, DO, two highly experienced gynecologic oncologists. While breast surgery and gynecologic oncology will remain separate practices, their shared location enhances opportunities for collaboration and reinforces TMH’s commitment to comprehensive women’s cancer care.
“This new practice represents an exciting step forward in how we care for women and those with breast cancer in our region,” said Kathy Brooks, Service Line Administrator for Oncology Services at TMH. “Bringing our breast surgeons together with multiple other cancer specialists and services under one roof creates a more connected, supportive environment for patients facing breast cancer and disease.”
Brett Howard, MD, General Surgeon at TMH Physician Partners – General Surgery and Chief of Surgery at TMH, will relocate from the offices he currently shares with Dr. Blank and Dr. Everidge at 1401 Centerville Road, Suite 100, to the TMH Physician Partners – General Surgery office at 1405 Centerville Road, Dogwood Building, Suite 4400.
TMH Physician Partners – Breast Specialists will begin seeing patients in their new location at the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center on Dec. 18. Following the opening, patients may call 850-431-0712 to schedule appointments or visit TMH.ORG/BreastSpecialists for more information.
