TMH Recognized Among Florida's Best Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report

Rankings highlight TMH's continued commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care, including seven "High Performing" designations.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Aug. 4, 2026) – Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) has once again been recognized among Florida's leading hospitals by U.S. News & World Report in its annual Best Hospitals rankings. For the 2026-2027 rankings, TMH is ranked as one of Florida’s Best Hospitals while also earning "High Performing" ratings in seven procedures and conditions, reflecting the organization's continued commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care across North Florida and South Georgia.

For more than 35 years, U.S. News & World Report has evaluated hospitals nationwide based on objective measures of quality, including patient outcomes, safety, clinical resources and patient experience. This year's recognition places TMH among an elite group of hospitals recognized for delivering care that exceeds national performance benchmarks.

In addition to being recognized among leading hospitals in the state, TMH received the highest possible rating of "High Performing" in the following procedures and conditions:

• Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair
• Gynecological cancer surgery
• Heart arrhythmia
• Knee replacement
• Lung cancer surgery
• Pacemaker implantation
• Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)

A "High Performing" rating is the highest distinction a hospital can earn in U.S. News' Procedures & Conditions ratings and signifies that a hospital performed significantly better than the national average in the care provided for those procedures and conditions.

TMH serves patients across a 21-county region in North Florida and South Georgia and provides the area's most advanced healthcare services, including a Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and comprehensive cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic and surgical programs. This latest recognition further reinforces TMH's commitment to delivering nationally recognized care close to home.

For the 2026-2027 Best Hospitals rankings and ratings, U.S. News & World Report evaluated more than 4,400 hospitals nationwide across 14 adult specialties and 23 procedures and conditions. Patient outcomes were measured using data from more than 800 million records of patient care. TMH was among just 43% of evaluated hospitals nationwide to earn at least one "High Performing" designation.
