4/22 at 11 am

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is pleased to share that five patients related to the April 17 shooting at Florida State University have been discharged. One patient remains in our care in good condition.

4/21 at 11 am

As the only Level II Trauma Center in the region, Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare remains ready to respond to an emergency on a moment’s notice. Our colleagues, physicians, and first responders train for situations like this, hoping our training is never needed. We are incredibly proud of the response from our teams on April 17 and are honored to be the hospital chosen to provide such a level of care. Our commitment to our community remains steadfast, and our hearts are with the students, faculty, and staff at Florida State University and the many families affected by this tragedy.

As of the morning of April 21, we are pleased to share that three patients in total have been discharged, and we anticipate two more being discharged today. The remaining sixth patient is in good condition.

4/18 at 9 am

We are grateful for the outpouring of support for our emergency, trauma, and nursing teams. We are honored to be the hospital providing care to these patients.

Patient update as of 9 am April 18, 2025: Two patients are expected to be discharged today. Three have improved and are in good condition. One remains in fair condition.  

4/17 at 4:30 pm

We are deeply saddened by the tragic events that occurred today at FSU. Our hearts are with the students, families, and everyone impacted by this heartbreaking situation.

TMH has received six patients related to this incident, all of which are currently in fair condition. Our dedicated trauma teams are providing the highest level of care to all patients, and we remain fully mobilized to meet their needs.

We continue to work closely with emergency responders and public safety officials. Out of respect for patient privacy and to ensure the accuracy of information, we will provide updates as appropriate.

TMH is actively receiving and caring for patients related to an incident that has occurred at Florida State University. At this time, details are still unfolding, and we do not yet have specific information to share. However, we want to assure the community that our teams are fully mobilized and prepared to provide the highest level of care and support to all those affected.

We remain in close coordination with emergency responders and public safety officials. Out of respect for patient privacy and to ensure accurate information, we will provide updates as soon as they are available.
