Dr. Vargas received his Doctorate of Medicine at Universidad de Guayaquil, Ecuador. He completed his Residency at Louisiana State University, Shreveport, LA. He completed Fellowships in both Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA. Additionally, he completed a Fellowship In Advanced Interventional Endovascular Disease at Cardiovascular Institute of the South, Houma, LA.
His certifications include Vascular and Endovascular Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Medicine, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Internal Medicine.
He currently practices at Southern Medical Group, P.A., and holds privileges at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
