I received a ton of information at the first visit to discuss my breast cancer. Considering the heaviness of the topic, the doctor/nurse did a wonderful job. Almost couldn't ask for more.
Dr. Howard is phenomenal and displayed exemplary bed side manners. He engaged me and my husband in the conversation and plan of care, answered my questions, and had a professional and reassuring presence.

I had a great visit and felt very relieved that the Dr was so on top of what was going on with my pain. The great part was him having my latest scan, and showing me what maybe going on, and his thoughts. The Dr. Before him, and the one that had me do the scan never did have me come back in and show me the scan. I was impressed Dr. Howard asking my opinion on how I felt about what he thought about where to go next in my care.

Dr. Howard explained everything in detail, easy to understand. Asked if we had questions. We felt like he was happy to have us partner in my care and while he is the captain of this ship, he would've listened to my concerns had we not agreed on my care right off the bat. My conversation with Dr. Howard's "shadow" resident(?) was extremely helpful. He was able to answer most of my questions and then prepped the doctor in advance about questions only the doctor could answer. I had great interactions with both "shadow" and Dr. Howard.

Dr. Howard provided very clear and thorough answers to my questions and those of my friend and sister. He never made us feel rushed or that any of our questions were unimportant. He put us all at ease. I feel like I am in good hands and am very lucky that he will be my surgeon.

Dr Howard and his group were very informative and I never felt rushed. There were things that I didn't know what to ask that would have been helpful to know. These things are so much a part of their world that they didn't think to say anything. One example was that early bowel movements might include dark blood as the intestines were still clearing. Since I didn't know this I thought I still had internal bleeding and it really scared me.
