Julia S. Barry, DO

Dr. Barry received her Doctor of Osteopathy at Nova Southeastern University – College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Florida. She completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at State University of New York at Stony Brook in Stony Brook, New York. She completed her Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at University of Florida Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.

She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. She is also board certified in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.

She currently practices at Southern Medical Group, P.A., and holds privileges at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.

One of Dr. Barry’s passions in cardiology is echocardiography. She has always loved math and physics, and finds it fascinating to be able to utilize these skills in order to evaluate the hemodynamics of different valvular pathologies.

Dr. Barry truly enjoys the relationships she builds with her patients, especially getting to see the positive changes that appropriate care can have on their quality of life.
