Dr Russell is outstanding and a person and physician. I was so scared when I came in but Dr Russell made me realize that I'm going to be ok. I have work to do but I'm going to be ok. I'm going to die but not tomorrow

Dr. Russell was exceptional! She is an exemplary listener and communicator. She explained my diagnosis, the treatment plan and rationale for such and supported my decision to have a second opinion for my peace of mind. She wrote everything from the cancer diagnosis, clinical staging and treatment on a legal pad. At the end of the discussion, she gave me the 2 pages of notes. She is an asset to TMH and more importantly her patients dealing with a cancer diagnosis!
Dr. Russell is my favorite doctor. She continue to be very helpful and supportive as I deal with my cancer.

Dr. Russell is outstanding! She provided excellent care when I was first diagnosed eight years ago and has continued to follow me since. On this most recent visit, she was professional yet friendly, personable, and extremely empathetic and understanding of my concerns. She provided information in a straightforward, easy to understand manner and ensured that I understood. She answered all of my questions satisfactorily. Her "bedside manner" is exemplary! I have already recommended her to others.

Dr Karen Russell is wonderful. She's caring and compassionate. She listens to any concerns that I have. I would recommend her to anybody that needed an oncologist.
As busy as Dr. Russell is, she always takes the time listen to me and chat about recent discoveries concerning my particular cancer should I ever need to change my treatment. I never feel like I'm being herded like cattle as I do with some of my other doctors. As I am in remission, we always discuss and decide together when the next appointment should be and whether or not to do an MRI along with the PET. I absolutely love her energy and enthusiasm for her work despite how depressing other situations might be.
