About Me

Manuela “Ela” Maxwell received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Tallahassee State College. She then completed her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from South University.

Ms. Maxwell is a Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN-C) with the State of Florida. She assists Dr. Barry in Non-Invasive Cardiology.

Ela is an attentive listener and always strives to get to the bottom of patient’s problems - she loves to have a positive impact. When not at work you can find her spending time with her husband and four children, and traveling to historical sites, the beach, and mountains. Fun fact about Ela – she saw the Berlin wall come down in person!

The physician/PA was kind and patient.

I really enjoyed my visit. The PA listened closely to everything I shared and explained my questions about my medications clearly. She also went over my echocardiogram in great detail and made sure I understood every part of it. She was knowledgeable, patient, and answered all of my concerns. She truly seems to care about her patients and loves what she does. I look forward to seeing her again in May 2026.
