Maria C. Andrews, MD

Born right here at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH), Dr. Maria Andrews is proud to serve her hometown community as faculty in TMH’s Family Medicine Residency Program. She is an alumna of Chiles High School and Stetson University (DeLand, Florida), where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Integrative Health Science. After her undergraduate years, Dr. Andrews moved to the U.K. to earn her Master of Science in Medical Anthropology from the University of Oxford, where she studied the social aspects of illness and the treatment of disease.

Upon completion, she relocated to North Carolina to earn her medical degree at the Duke University School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She completed her residency training here at TMH, where she served as Co-Chief Resident and was recognized with the Susan U. Wager Resident Teacher Award. She is happily married to her high school sweetheart and, together with their young son, they enjoy the outdoors and breaking bread with family and friends.
