About Me
Dr. Maria Lahti received her Doctorate of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. She then completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at Keesler Medical Center at the Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. Her Fellowship was completed in Cardiovascular Disease at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium at the Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Lahti is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. She currently practices at Southern Medical Group, P.A.’s Panama City Beach location and holds privileges at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
Dr. Lahti is passionate about ensuring high-quality, compassionate care with her patients. Her favorite part of her job is connecting with patients and their families, enabling her to provide education and care tailored to their needs.
Dr. Lahti lives with her husband, daughter, and cat Coconut, and has two grown children living and studying in Utah and Texas. FUN FACT: Dr. Lahti is a former professional organist and retired Colonel USAF after 27 years of service.
