Shawn Brooking, DNP, CNM

Shawn Brooking, DNP, CNM, is a Certified Nurse Midwife that joined Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare in 2026. She works closely with Dr. Evers in the TMH Family Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Brooking has extensive experience providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to women throughout all stages of life. Her clinical experience includes women’s health, prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum care, contraception and family planning. She also has experience serving as an OB hospitalist and managing patients in the OB emergency department.

Dr. Brooking has more than 20 years of experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife and began her nursing career in labor and delivery. Throughout her career, she has cared for patients in a variety of clinical settings, including private practices, hospitals and military healthcare environments. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University and later completed her Certificate of Nurse Midwifery, Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice at Frontier Nursing University.
