About Me

Dr. Bavikati received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Lokmanya, Tilak Municipal Medical College, at the University of Mumbai in Mumbai, India. He received a Masters in Public Health, Health Policy and Management at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency and then his Cardiology Fellowship and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at Emory University as well. 

Dr. Bavikati’s certifications include the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He is also certified by the National Board of Echocardiography. 

He currently practices at Southern Medical Group, P.A., and holds privileges at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.

This was a great experience. Dr. Bavicati took the time to explain, very well, the issue that I am having. He made sure that I was understanding what he was saying. He was very fast but very thorough. I liked that he ordered additional tests to really make sure what is going on before jumping right to scheduling a procedure. For me the visit was a 10 out of 10.

Dr. Bavakati is always up-to-date on my previous tests. Even though he did not order the tests, he has read the results prior to seeing me. I am very pleased that he knows the results of all of my cardiac tests prior to coming in to speak with me. He then has a very high quality of knowledge about my problems and is very direct about his recommendations. I consider him to be the best Tallahassee Cardiac Doctor. I feel very lucky to have him as one of my Doctors.
