Maria Lahti, MD – Cardiology
Dr. Maria Lahti joins TMH Physician Partners, Services by Southern Medical Group – Cardiology, practicing at the Panama City Beach office, located at 1002 N. Arnold Rd. (Highway 79), Suite 301.
Dr. Lahti earned her Doctor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Keesler Medical Center at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Lahti is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.
Passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate care, Dr. Lahti enjoys connecting with patients and their families to tailor education and treatment to their needs. An interesting fact about her is that she is a former professional organist and a retired colonel in the U.S. Air Force, having served for 27 years.

David Phillips, MD – Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep
Dr. David Phillips joins TMH Physician Partners, practicing at the Panama City Beach office at 1002 N. Arnold Rd. (Highway 79).
Dr. Phillips completed his undergraduate and master's degrees in chemistry at Louisiana Tech University before attending the LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport for medical school. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Kentucky and is fellowship-trained in pulmonary critical care. Dr. Phillips is board-certified in pulmonary disease, specializing in respiratory conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Dr. Phillips looks forward to helping patients and expanding necessary healthcare services in the region. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his family, boating, fishing, and outdoor activities.

Long Her, MD – Primary Care
TMH Physician Partners – Primary Care in Wakulla welcomes Dr. Long Her.
Dr. Her completed his undergraduate degree at Arkansas University and attended the Medical School of the Americas. He recently relocated from Louisiana, where he completed his residency at LSU Shreveport.
A nature enthusiast, Dr. Her is excited to explore the nature trails and outdoor activities in North Florida. In his leisure time, he enjoys game nights, watching TV, and spending time with his wife and two young children. He is a fan of "Game of Thrones" (except for the ending), as well as "Harry Potter" and "The Lord of the Rings."
Dr. Her is committed to working with patients on lifestyle modifications to improve health outcomes. He specializes in family medicine and is accepting new patients at TMH Physician Partners – Primary Care in Wakulla.

Julianna Kacheris, MD – Primary Care
Julianna Kacheris, MD has joined TMH Physician Partners – Primary Care in Quincy!
Dr. Kacheris is from DeFuniak Springs, FL but primarily grew up in Tallahassee. In 2024, she completed her residency at the Tallahassee Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program alongside her husband, Nicholas Kacheris, MD.
Dr. Kacheris graduated from the Florida State University (FSU) with a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology, then obtained her medical degree from the FSU College of Medicine, where she earned awards including Most Outstanding Graduate in Family Medicine, the Altruism in Medicine Award, the Pensacola Regional Campus Dean’s Award and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honors Society.
While in medical school, Dr. Kacheris served as president of the Geriatrics Interest Group. Dr. Kacheris is passionate about preventative medicine, rural health, addressing social determinants of health and mentoring those coming behind her who are interested in medicine.
In her spare time, Dr. Kacheris enjoys spending time with family and her golden retriever, fellowship within her church, cooking, gardening, painting and calligraphy, as well as camping and fishing.

Ahmad Abdulzahir, MD – Cancer & Hematology
Ahmad Abdulzahir, MD has joined TMH Physician Partners – Cancer and Hematology!
Dr. Abdulzahir graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Florida. He obtained his medical degree from St. George’s University. From there, he completed his internal medicine residency at HCA Florida Orange Park Medical Center, followed by his doctoral fellowship at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital.
Dr. Abdulzahir says making a difference in the lives of his patients is the best part of his job. He also shares that working alongside an equipped staff is what makes working at TMH so great. Dr. Abdulzahir sees oncology patients at TMH Physician Partners – Cancer and Hematology.
