Trauma Surgeon Lauren Thompson, DO, Joins TMH Physician Partners

TMH Physician Partners – General Surgery is pleased to welcome Lauren Thompson, DO, a fellowship-trained trauma surgeon specializing in trauma surgery, acute care surgery and surgical critical care.
Dr. Thompson earned her medical degree from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her general surgery residency at Florida Atlantic University. She then completed a fellowship in surgical critical care at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Her clinical experience includes trauma and emergency general surgery, with procedures ranging from soft tissue procedures and appendectomies to gallbladder surgery, hernia repair and small bowel and colon resections. Dr. Thompson also has a background in research focused on improving outcomes for patients with traumatic injuries, including motorcycle-related trauma and traumatic liver injuries.
Dr. Thompson is the newest physician to join TMH Physician Partners – General Surgery, located at 1401 Centerville Road in Tallahassee.
